"LTA is like no other organization I have ever encountered. It is a sisterhood that allowed me to grow as an individual as well as strengthen my beliefs in UNITY, LOVE, and RESPECT. It is also my second family away from home. I can go to my sisters, and rely on them any time. They are always there for me"

2. Maria del Rocio Carrion Estrada "R"

Yakima, WA

Nationality: Mexican

BA Sociology

Hobbies: Well, I have too many hobbies that I don't know if they are even hobbies anymore or just part of my life now. I like to work out and pretty much do anything that gets my heart pumping. I especially like kick boxing and I am definitely an athlete! So I enjoy playing indoor and outdoor soccer, fast pitch, basketball, volleyball, and anything that involves a ball or running. I enjoy drawing and reading like a bookworm. I like taking very long walks and getting lost on purpose to figure out new ways to get to a new destination. I also like dancing and hanging out with the family and friends, especially with my little 7 year-old sister who is almost as crazy as me. Laying back and listening to music is also amazing.

"Lambda Theta Alpha has given me the opportunity to get to know 2 beautiful and amazing young women, Jenny Lynn Revak and Josefina Collazo-Gonzales. It has also brought in my pathway many lovely women of Lambda Theta Alpha in which it has extended my "FAMILIA". I am big on LOVE and RESPECT and LTA is about UNITY, LOVE and RESPECT, so it has added a new word to my list. It must have been written for me to be a Lambda because the LTA principles are the same principles in which I grew up with and were instilled in me from my parents as a child. Like LTA, I believe in the UNIVERSAL WOMAN. What's amazing about LTA is that I have always considered myself to be a strong person but after becoming a Lambda lady I realized I am more than that. To me there are no more limits, there are always ways to overcome any and every obstacle that interrupt my life"

3. Jenny Revak "P"

Monroe, WA

Nationality: Caucasian & Mexican

BA Political Science

Hobbies: Playing piano and guitar, watching obscure movies, going to concerts, politics, reading, spending time with my family, dancing, being a nerd :)

"To me, LTA means my first time ever having sisters. I have an older brother with whom I share a very strong bond, but I've never known what it is to have a sister and what that kind of bond could be like. I have found that it is something lovely, crazy, loving, intense, and exciting all at once. I am so grateful for my beautiful line sisters, who have been there for me time and time again and who I would do anything for. I am also grateful to be part of such an innovative and strong organization that believes in empowering women, educating the public, and encouraging political awareness. I know being part of Lambda Theta Alpha will help me reach my goals, as well as allow me to help my sisters reach theirs"
